He's Gone
Nov. 18, 1978
Uptown Theatre

Unique section after the gospel singing. Great transition to TOO

Touch of Grey
Sept. 15, 1982
Capital Centre

The debut, as an encore - raw, lyrics askew, fun times

The Music Never Stopped
Dec. 21, 1978
The Summit

A speedy rendition on a single extant AUD from what is IMO the golden age of TMNS. Good for 77-Feb79, but compares favorably to any MNS thereafter.

Cumberland Blues
Sept. 11, 1981
Greek Theater

This one cooks. It’s the third one since 74, but it’s all so fluid.

Mind Left Body Jam
Sept. 6, 1979
Madison Square Garden

The transition between NFA and Stella is about a minute of MLB. Not the best, but a unique transition and tease for 1979.

Sugaree
May 9, 1979
Broome County Arena

The third solo is intense, and ends with a flurry. The whole version is good - a nice, expansive opener of a Sugaree. Some others of this era that are above on this list open their shows as well - 10/17/83, 6/21/80 and 12/28/79
The Other One
May 13, 1977
Auditorium Theatre

This one is such a rich exploration. I was surprised.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 2, 1981
The Spectrum

There are a couple of blown lyrics in Scarlet, and one right before the transition begins, and that usually means Jerry will try to make up for it. I love Bob at the beginning of the transition, and that whole 7 min or so is spectacular and Jerry does work hard. Fire’s great too. I’ve loved finds like this over the years on this site, and I’ll be with this one for a while.
Space
July 31, 1974
Dillon Stadium

It’s called Phil and Ned on the linked source and it’s pretty weird man, as all the seastones stuff from 74 is. Any difference with space is semantic. Aliens have landed and are broadcasting AM radio.
Playin' In The Band
May 4, 1977
The Palladium

The whole reprise after comes a time is fantastic. What an end to a show.
