The Music Never Stopped
April 14, 1978
Cassell Coliseum - Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University

Bob blows some lyrics, but the midsection and outro are fluent and soaring. Lot on the list not as good as this one.

The Music Never Stopped

Radio City Music Hall

Honorable mention on the old dead clubhouse page, but not on here. There's a youtube video with great sound. See for yourself.

Cassidy
Oct. 16, 1981
Melkweg

A unique sounding Cassidy. Parts of this almost sound like a studio release of a different band playing like the dead.

Madison Square Garden

MSG Scarlet Fire from the Fall of '82 - great transition.

Friend of the Devil
Dec. 30, 1983
Civic Auditorium

Very nice. Bob takes a rare solo in between Brent and Jerry.
Sugaree
March 28, 1981
Grugahalle

I think this is top 10 and the video certainly helps to make that case. It's hard to watch the second solo and say otherwise. If, on the other hand, videos existed of, say 12/28/79 and a bunch of others, we would have a different landscape to be sure.
Eyes Of The World
Sept. 11, 1974
Alexandra Palace

I like the matrix for this one. The reverb of the AUD makes the dreamy intro even dreamier.
Wharf Rat
July 27, 1973
Grand Prix Racecourse

Filthy. I don’t hear fotm or franklins. I just hear the good stuff.
Estimated Prophet
April 3, 1982
The Scope

My favorite hour of music: S>F>Est>Eyes. Not a letdown in this one with this seaweed source.
