Caution
May 12, 1980
Boston Garden

This is a pretty intense early 80s-style Caution jam. I was surprised to find this just now.

The Music Never Stopped
Dec. 1, 1979
Stanley Theater

A unique beginning with nice peaks to both the mid jam and the outro.

Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
Feb. 4, 1979
Dane County Coliseum

The final Keith and Donna Half Step stands up well, even though there's one lonely AUD.

Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
May 11, 1979
Billerica Forum

An early Brent Mydland Half Step with electric piano pre rio grandeo and a joyful Garcia solo afterwards.

Sugaree
Oct. 18, 1978
Winterland Arena

No fanning or soaring peaks, but solo 3 (7:45-12:45 on CM's SBD) is a new favorite - sublime, mellow, laid back.

Let It Grow
May 1, 1981
Hampton Coliseum

This one is smoked. The next song is what I consider the #1 Deal. Hard to find a better pair to close a set 1.
He's Gone

He's Gone

Swing Auditorium

This one, with feeling, for John Lennon. The SBD is sterile, but Dave Usborne's matrix brings everything in this heartfelt version to life. A nice way to mourn another anniversary.
Stir It Up
March 21, 1991
Capital Centre

This is great. I went and looked at the '88 one before I watched this one and there is no comparison and not just because of Bob's singing in the Hampton version, though that doesn't help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iFiPMCYl0Q
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
March 18, 1977
Winterland Arena

Jerry cannot remember the words of half step and solos through a couple of verses. Its nice to hear Jerry play over the verses. And you can tell Jerry's trying to make up for missing the lyrics before and after rio grandeo. There are a bunch of 77 half steps up near the top and this one deserves a look in spite of this one almost being instrumental.
