He's Gone
April 1, 1980
Capitol Theatre

A solid version with a passage about a minute long straight out of the heavens - directly following the a capella section. Must hear.

Stella Blue
July 1, 1979
Seattle Center Coliseum

Horrible video with STELLA sound on YouTube.

Black Peter
May 15, 1981
Rutgers Athletic Center

The first solo is sweet and beautiful. The outro is short, bluesy shredding.

Eyes Of The World
May 15, 1981
Rutgers Athletic Center

The well played end to a S>F>E>E combination. Jerry plays with a theme recognizable from the eyes on DP6.

Uncle John's Band
May 26, 1977
Baltimore Civic Center

The encore of the penultimate show of May 1977. It's short, but these people are practiced at this date.

I saw that darkstar67. Who else? Apparently the local residents pronounce it Bill - ricka. I bet this would've been a great time.
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
Sept. 1, 1979
Holleder Memorial Stadium

This is really beautiful - all of the rio grandeo stuff. I heard this a while ago and forgot all about it until I saw it come up here last week. I finally listened to the SBD yesterday, but I saw that darkstar67 liked something that Charlie Miller had worked on and there was Bob Wagner's FOB. It's better to my ears than the SBD. (Just like that Jim Wise AUD from 5/1/81). When you hear the crowd react to Jerry, it isn't intrusive - the whole rio grandeo section crackles with the energy of a late Summer show opening up. It's perfect for this time of year.
Got My Mojo Working
April 4, 1985
Civic Center

I heard it. A little mojo flavored wink starts around 7:30, but what will be identifiable are some chords Bobby strikes right around 7:45. They're mojoish, but probably not enough to call this a mojo. The GDTRFB is a little too fast for me, and kind of typical of an area in which this era tended to go off the rails, but I love this jam that follows. I'd be interested to hear what others think.
Wharf Rat

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

This wharf rat needs some help.
Eyes Of The World
Dec. 30, 1977
Winterland Arena

I think that this one is 1977 underrated (I said it), primarily as a result of the >jam section that necessarily gets assigned to this Eyes - but don't discount solos 1 or 2 - especially 2 where the extraordinary actually happens. This is Dick's Picks 10 and a nice B&W video is available on YT my friends.
