Incendiary second solo becomes delicate and beautiful before they build the final refrain.

You can't compare 70s Deals w/ late 1980 onward. There's a four minute shredded 2nd solo on this one that wasn't a part of Deal in its 1st decade.

This is the first one with the second solo, revamped for the 15th anniversary.

Pre rio grandeo is good, but there are two peaks post rio grandeo, one built off the other and the latter crashes into Franklin's Tower.

A fluttery and lyrical solo after the bridge and then an autobiography of an outro. There is a video on YouTube.

Another great MNS recommendation, deadhoe69. Unlike 10/18/78, which is considerably underrated, I can understand why this one has only 5 votes. There are two B AUDs (and even Charlie Miller has limitations) and the audience loves this version and you get to hear how much they love it. But snobbery will do you no good - the mid section is thrilling and the audience plays Jerry at the end of the outro.

This is what I come to this website for. 1978 Jerry is sloppy during some of the verses, but the mid jam is fascinating and then it hits a hard climax into the outro. That midsection can go up against any other. The outro tears it up, as deadhoe69 says.

Manic and thunderous until the 1st bottom falls out. It's dark and jazzy before the 2nd drop which is cleaner than the first - but I like how the band fills in when Jerry misses the 1st. The video on YouTube inexplicably has a cold rain and snow (not played this night) immediately to follow, but the rest of the show (2nd set Samson to start) follows CR&S.

I just found this whole show in B&W on YT: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yqZP8ihyfs8
