Not Fade Away
May 17, 1978
Uptown Theater
What a kick butt 14 minute NFA. Explored nicely with different themes but staying true to NFA.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 17, 1972
Century II Convention Hall
Another charged version from this great year. Bob really starts the charge at the end of the China Cat, but then Jerry finishes up the transition.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Nov. 6, 1977
Broome County Arena
The transition is totally cool out of Scarlet... Phil leads the way, then Bob throws in some licks I have not heard before and then Jer goes and then finally they all make their way to Fire. I definitely think this S/F is in the top half from the year.
Promised Land
Nov. 9, 1973
Winterland Arena
This starts off an amazing show... overlooked by 11/11. I would recommend highly that everyone listen to this show. Numerous version need upvote such as the Playing, HCS, Eyes, etc to name a few.
Tennessee Jed
Dec. 16, 1978
Nashville Municipal Auditorium
Bobs obsession with slide guitar in 78 works here. Great interplay with Garcia. Top notch version. Should be if you are playing in Tennessee, tho.
Tennessee Jed
Jan. 22, 1978
McArthur Court, U of Oregon
Agree. Love the tone of the guitar this evening as Jer destroys this Jed. Easily one of the best.
Brother Esau
Oct. 17, 1983
Olympic Center
Agree. Nice chill Esau!
