Bertha
May 10, 1978
Veterans' Memorial Coliseum

This Bertha cooks. Definately deserves to be here. Jerry forgets the last verse, but the less Jerry sings, the more Jerry plays.

Jerry shreds this one up.

Not as good as the shrine, but has its amazing moments.

Sing Me Back Home

As heartfelt as the Europe versions. Worth a listen. Lots of epic stuff on DP 23.

Definately should be in the converation as heady. Smokin' second set opener to this very fine show.

The Music Never Stopped
May 13, 1977
Auditorium Theatre

Epic Dr. Beechwood intro...very short version with other May 77 ones being better.
The Other One
May 3, 1972
Olympia Theater

My second favorite O1 behind 2/13/1970. This one is pretty perfect and best one from Europe72. BTW best Dark Star of Europe 72 is Rotterdam.

Frickin epic show
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 17, 1977
Memorial Coliseum

Blows the standard Mosque(5/25) version out of the water. This version may be best of 1977 and top 5 all time. I can't get enough of this one...love the whacks in the beginning of Fire..never heard anything like that from Jer on Fire.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

Grendel: Love your appreciation for this S/F. I think this show is so underrated. I mean the isolated Jerry solo after UJB is sic. I mean what makes up disc 3 of the May release (S/F>good lovin, UJB>Solo>Wharf Rat) is just awesome.
