Lost Sailor -> Saint of Circumstance
June 12, 1980
Memorial Coliseum
They are ON for this. Machine gun runs from Jerry and Bob is just exactly perfect. This is great show that has recently surfaced as a crisp SBD. Check it out.
Feel Like A Stranger
Nov. 3, 1984
Berkeley Community Theatre
Really nice long trippy jam in this one. I also enjoy the 2nd set opener slot as well and if you check out the rest of the set after this, you'll see that its full of surprises. Just another hot spot in a great run of shows. Check it out.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 5, 1977
New Haven Coliseum
I always find myself coming back to this one. It's not 5/8/77, but there's something really special about it. I think the transition between Scarlet and Fire just breathes so well. Lots of space and time created.
The Other One
April 27, 1985
Frost Amphitheatre
I don't spend much time in '85, but once in a while I'll take a journey there to see what catches my eye or ear. In this case it was The Other One. It blows in like a nasty thunder storm and whips things up. And as quickly as it arrived it's gone again. Give it a spin.
