Let It Grow
April 3, 1982
The Scope

Jazzy, speedy and energetic...but don't let the grimey SQ deter you...this is worth it!

Black Peter
Oct. 12, 1977
Manor Downs

Mournful and Triumphant all at once. A mind-crushing outro by JG...best of the '70s IMO.

Excellent, rocking, and very underrated version from a great period for the band...

Baltimore Civic Center

Absolutely blissful jams out of this one! Garcia gets in some hot slide licks before setting up a gorgeous, lilting transition.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Feb. 15, 1973
Dane County Coliseum

This show was one of my first "tapes", and I've always had quite a soft spot for it. I used to rewind the segue in this China>Rider over and over because i loved it so much :D
Dark Star
Feb. 26, 1973
Pershing Municipal Auditorium

I agree this is a wonderful version, though not my favorite spring '73 Star by a long shot. Grendel, if you dig this one, try 3-16-73. A little skimpier (only 15 mins. until they get to the verse and go into the "space-junk") but totally worth your time if you like'em jazzy.
Greatest Story Ever Told
Feb. 26, 1973
Pershing Municipal Auditorium

Excellent version!! Dick's Picks, 28 is one of the best official releases.
Mind Left Body Jam
June 28, 1974
Boston Garden

YES!!!! Best MLB jam without a doubt.
