Such a gently playful yet deeply incisive DS...while some Stars wander and drift, this one is about playing and listening, paring away to find the center. Like a time-lapse film of changing leaves, flaring up with reds & oranges in autumn...sublime

it's really splitting hairs between this one and 5/5...5/5 aches more, but the soloing's better here, I think...both are extraordinarily deep-reaching versions!!!

Sublime. Jerry is vocally in such a zone here, you wanna follow him anywhere even though it feels like it might get gnarly along the way...and the band's right there for the whole ride. Outstanding!

This is one the best "Dew"s you'll ever hear. The energy is hot, the focus is tight but not uptight, the vocals are spirited & engaged & honestly? Tough. It's tough & kind of brutal, and beautiful. It's version which engages the darkness of this song at every level -- the Dead & the Velvets didn't really get along, but this version shows that, sometimes, they had some similar interests vibewise, though the musicianship here is obviously leagues beyond the VU. A must-hear.
