Funny you should ask. I don’t remember this show very well. There are some shows where something or some string of events made the show very memorable. But not this one. I remember details from the Hampton shows I attended quite well for some reason. I can’t remember many details from any of the Igloo Pittsburgh shows we went to though. Now there’s an interesting story that makes the ‘89 Philly Crimson White Indigo show memorable on top of the show being one that’s tough to beat from opener to encore. I have friends that always drank too much and now “remember” details where I’m like “umm, yeah NOPE”. We had been on the lot for hours with a few more to go when a friend we ran into warned us that our friend from back home’s little bro was there and looking for my friends. Long funny story but suffice it to say they wanted to avoid this kid at all cost. I was with them most of the day so that meant we were all on the lookout for this dude. My buddy Cheeseball, Cheese for short would call out “there he is” every once in a while. I told him, that when peeps are tripping hard that’s almost like yelling fire in a crowded theatre. He was quite the prankster. Later that night we heard that 2 of our group had been “caught” and spent the show with this guy. They were both on a few or more hits of Clowns I had that tour so they definitely took one for the team. I remember this Syl, the energy at shows with Bruce was always intensified. He was such a boon to the band

Great rec. Revisiting this show now. Once again Jerry's tone sounds perfect. Extra crisp on the BEW. Went to every RFK show from the 2nd show summer ‘86 til the end. Saw many great shows at RFK except that first one. Not a great show but a good time was had by most, certainly me

Great rec FatLenny. This goes into a fast paced jazz style jam that isn't as dark as it is a cruise through space. Ren and Stimpy on less caffeine

Surreal show. Was just talking to friend that went to this show. We were fortunate in a number of ways at this one. By the time we got in it had been a long hot day on the lot. A friend from high school had family in Philly. Once inside we got to hook up with one family member that worked at the venue. She had coolers of ice and a few other summer Dead show necessities for us. I suppose one could say the lot was hot as a pistol but cool inside. This show was fantastic. Saw many great shows in Philly and this might have been the best
