This one is as much about what's woven in and out of the Darkstar as the Darkstar itself, but it's just all good. All. Good. 1st hunk of Darkstar stays within the 'DS theme' for the duration, grinding into feedback-lite and Mickey playing with the all important gongs. After a beautiful Attics, the 2nd segment rockets around for a few minutes before a downright biblical Tighten-up Jam and a Feelin' Groovy segue into Sugar Mag (!!!). The last DS verse follows in short and sweet fashion, but you're not done yet. Just let the rest of the set play. The recording isn't the greatest, but it's absolutely listenable - and entirely worth listening to.

If you've somehow made it to this point in your life, and you've never heard either 4-17 or 4-25 1971 versions of this song, you really should remedy this. Quickly. The saga of "The Bidnessman" is only part of the fun, these tunes smoke from start to finish.
