30+ minute romp, Jerry gets the slide out somewhere in there. Not sure who ends up on stage babbling with Pigpen, nor am I sure just WTF is going on w/ the last cut - other than to say at 32 minutes, this song turns into Dark Star, and it sounds suspiciously like 2/11/70.

The Cryptical reprise is longer than the Other One, the lyrics are still sort of in flux, and it never really finds that fluidity under all of that agro that we've come to know and love, but..this is absolutely Anthem-tastic, all the same.

Pig actually croons about box back nittys and great big and noble thighs here, gets distracted by being a King Bee and assorted stingers and brings some spirited harmonica/guitar exchanges w/ Jerry. Listen to the Clementine before it (I'd list it if I could - there are only 5, so I can see why it's not listed. If you haven't had the 'Hey, this is My Favorite Things on acid' epiphany yet, it's worth the trip) to have the tune fresh in mind...it manages to bleed into the pacing/feel of this Schoolgirl interestingly.

Holy hell. Phil bombs, Bob Weir having an out-of-body guitar experience, Jerry vamping like a madman....this thing is freaking amazing. Up to about 5 minutes, this is your standard 1970 Good Lovin'. At 5 minutes, somebody flipped the 'MAKE THINGS AWESOME' switches in a completely different configuration than I've ever heard. Jerry repeats this heavily hairy effect combo while Bob (For real. Is the world sure that is Bob? It's that good.) tears thru amazing lead after amazing lead. WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST LISTEN TO?
