It's A Man's World
June 4, 1970
Fillmore West

This is the hotness right here. I gotta ask - are you the GerryO I think you are? If so, you are the king of awesome. The last 3 tunes of this show ended up as filler on a cassette back in the caveman days, and it had me hooked deep. I'd wanted to hear the rest of this show for 25 years, and you made that happen. So...again. Thank. You. (and if you aren't who I think you are, just ignore me - everybody else does ;^)
Turn On Your Love Light
June 20, 1969
Fillmore East

I'm still at a loss for which aspect is more remarkable - Pig actually soloing on the organ, or that Lovelight can end up momentarily acoustic....and not miss a freaking beat. Either way, Jerry's guitar problems lead to something unique and brain bending here. Not on archive, only Aoxomoxoa is listed for this date - but you can get it from dead.net here> http://www.dead.net/features/tapers-section/june-18-june-24-2007 or at http://vimeo.com/37195607
Dark Star
June 7, 1969
Fillmore West

Mountains of the Moon > Dark Star - one of those where anybody trying to put a track break between the two is just picking an arbitrary spot and hoping it's close enough. The switch from acoustic to electric is as good of a place as any, but the opening moments of this Star as it's typically tracked is all about that wonderful happy place that only exists between these two tunes.
Easy Wind

DuPont Gym - MIT

Amazingly hot stuff here. It's all good, but at just before 6 minutes, Jerry decides it's time for balls to the wall guitar bliss.
Big Railroad Blues
Nov. 12, 1971
San Antonio Civic Auditorium

If you're listening on Archive, go with the Charlie Miller/Alan Fink version.
