Ramble On Rose

The Palestra, U. of Rochester

One of the earliest live versions ever and boy oh boy is Jerry into it. Belts out the lyrics. Quick tempo & a real joy to hear!

Hey Pocky Way

Weird how little folks seem to care at all about this tune. I love it & Brent does the Neville Bros. proud w/this version--as good as it gets.

First there were only AUDs available, but now that a sweet CM SBD is up you oughta check out this sweet '78!

Rippingly good early version with Keith way out front. Jerry and the whole crew rock it hard!

Great cadence to this one and some cool reverb effects lend a trippy mesmerizing feel to this fine entry from the Fox. Get the CM SBD source.

^^^^I just discovered 2/27/94 and was blown away by it. I'd seriously put it top 3 all time, although this one to me is the absolute best.
Uncle John's Band

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium

Surprised, even bowled-over by how good--no, great--this version is. Love the 2 1/2 minute intro, the acoustic guitar sound, the sick jam Jerry treats us to before the return to the main theme in the coda. This isn't just fantastic for 1994--it's one of the very best from any era, and deserves to be top 3 all-time. Stunning stuff and a terrific recommendation. Oh, and the Supplication tease? Icing on the cake.

^^^^Very cool history lesson, Donnie...thank you! Next we need to dig into the legend of whether Dupree really killed a jewelry store owner for a $1,000 ring :-)

Fillmore West

Jerry's final solo (with whole band in tow) digs down DEEP into jam-jam Hall of Fame stuff here. My favorite.
