Incredible. Check out Brent's fills during the epic post-lyrics outro. A must-listen top tier Althea w/bounce, power, & panache!

Apparently no one is aware that a fellow named Keith played in this band or this version would have 50 votes already. Needs to be heard!

Outside of 1977 this may be the best version I've heard. A+ vocals from Jerry, killer mid-solo; slightly faster tempo. Must hear. Gr8 Matrix!

Bob's lyric phrasing on this version is unique. He sings it in a way so different than any I've heard before & it's inventive & super-fun. Must hear!

Best of the 80's or 90's, hands down. Picture perfect rendition: Vocals, jam fills, & finish.

Jerry's "smile smile SMIIIIILLLE"!!" line alone should be enough to get this one higher up the ladder but the whole thing is deserving with Garcia completely dialed in to every lyric, some great jamming and a beautiful coda backed up by Brent's perfecto harmonies. Kind of at a loss as to why so many songs from this incredible show are so low on the list. Forget the novelty of the poorly played Revolution encore and check out the "ordinary" songs from this show b/c they're anything but that.

Another far better than its current ranking & in need of bumpage. Great ensemble vocals on this one...nice jam after the lyrics

Gobs better than I remembered it being. New box set revealing how great these MSG shows were -- most especially the two nights from '83

Ranting & raving about this one, a hidden gem & then some. First, this might just be the most beautiful vocal they ever turned in on this tune, from Jerry’s sweet lead to the perfectly blended harmonies on the chorus sections. The playing is jazz heaven, no raging peaks a la late 70s but a flow & delicate picking clinic led by Garcia & punctuated by some of the loveliest fills I’ve ever heard Keith do on this song. The outro section features a mind-slide into the Stronger Than Dirt portion rather than the usual start on the hard beat yet they totally nail it, no clunkiness involved, it’s all meshed seamlessly. Snag the SBD 2d set on the archive & enjoy. This one’s hiding in plain sight waiting with so much to offer.

^^^^strange indeed. Great recommendation still not getting the love it deserves.
