Fast-picking goodness. Jerry's bridge solo is long and lightning quick and awesome. 1 point off for lyric flub on re-entry, but the rest is gold.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

The Palladium

Sick of saying "How can X not be here" yet but C'mon! Get the digital DL series and start bumpin this up! Smooth Scarlet, killer Fire jams. Early gem!

Terrapin Station

From a year not particularly known for great Terrapin, this one proves the exception to the rule. Tight, inventive, soulful.

Bob sez: "we're gonna play one of your favorites and we certainly hope it's one of ours" b4 this sweet electric version!

As insanely good as the Wharf Rat that precedes it. How good? Almost matches 10/29/77 in intensity. Final jam section b4 SSDD will boggle your senses!

He's Gone
June 9, 1991
Buckeye Lake Music Center

Yep, good stuff indeed. One of the better jams into "Goin where the wind don't blow so strange" I;ve ever heard, lots of sweet jamming post lyrics, +1 easy. Still think 12/28/90 is better due to stronger Jerry vox than this version and the grunge guitar jam Garcia lets off leash in Oakland gives me more chills. But this is an eye opener for '91, which I sometimes avoid unless Branford's involved. Led me in a roundabout way to 4/7/91 Orlando & its really great Reuben & Cerise.

Strong, confident reading. Embarrassment of riches for great EYES in 1974 but this one shouldn't be overlooked. p.s. Check out Garcia's 2nd jam into final verse. Wow.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

St. Paul Civic Center Arena

Has a unique transition jam that feels deep and dark all at once without drifting into too much abstraction. Definitely worth more than the 11 votes it had when I got here.

Hey cgarces If any of those other ones you listed (& thanks for doing so) are as good as this one I'm definitely going to be checking them out. I'm not as fluent in 90-91 as other years save for the big obvious shows like Boston Garden with Branford, etc.

Fair warning that you're all going to get pretty sick of hearing me talk up this version but it's gonna happen until I'm convinced there's been some ears on this.
