Drums

Part of a very hardcore rock and roll 2nd set. HEAVY wailing Drums>Space>NFA w/motorcycle revs.

Beat it on Down The Line
May 16, 1972
Theatre Hall

Another Europe '72 tour winner. Bobby sez "Rock on out" for the bridge jam and Jerry obliges.

Ramble On Rose
May 22, 1977
The Sportatorium

Just discovered this one, available on archive as outtakes that didn't make the DP release. Simply put, it kicks ass.

Doin' That Rag
June 14, 1969
Monterey Performing Arts Center

Always a tough tune for the band to pull off but here they do it with authority. Jerry nails the vocals w/gusto!

Shakedown Street
Nov. 20, 1978
Cleveland Music Hall

Also amazed this isn't at least double digits yet. Emerges seamlessly from PITB in the 2nd set, post-drums! Fantastic funkfest.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 21, 1977
Lakeland Civic Center

^^^^Thx for the link ed_bob. Will take a look, Glad you agree on this version. It copuld very well be the best of May '77 and thus worthy of all-time consideration.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 5, 1977
New Haven Coliseum

Took a serious re-listen and if nothing else this version contains one of the for sure greatest transitions from Scarlet into Fire ever performed. It’s seamless powerful beautiful all rolled into one.
Eyes Of The World
Oct. 17, 1978
Winterland Arena

Yes to the matrix & YES to this version as grand '78 headiness. I'm at a loss as to why this wasn't on the big board until now. Great year, great tune, great run of shows....the Dusborne matrix is a revelation. Unbounded listening pleasure here and an easy +1.
Estimated Prophet
April 12, 1978
Cameron Indoor Stadium

^^^^Ya. The US Blues gets a lot of attention for this show but it's so much more than that. Fine Estimated here. April is to 1978 what May was to 1977.
