Awesome first set closer, played with intensity and long ‘84 jamming at the end. Solid!

The Other One
Aug. 20, 1972
San Jose Civic Auditorium

If the board was a bit cleaner and there wasn’t that unfortunate AUD cut, this would be much more highly regarded. If you can hang around for the ride, it’s a real mind twister with poignant, fluid jams to boot.
Playin' In The Band
Aug. 22, 1972
Berkeley Community Theatre

Contemplative, jazzy and exploratory. The band is fully locked in, with Billy fully in the pocket. The jam builds into simmering tones of molten heat without ever fully erupting. I like this one for its measured, tempered feel and there is an elegant, organic way the band ebbs and flows together. Give this a listen.
The Other One
Sept. 9, 1972
Hollywood Palladium

lift off is achieved, the band is in full x-factor mode and some true magic happens. absolutely breathtaking
The Eleven
July 7, 1969
Piedmont Park

Incredibly melodic and stretched out for an Eleven jam, this is a powerfully unique version. Underrated for sure
Estimated Prophet
April 6, 1978
Curtis Hixon Convention Center

Listening to the matrix and the energy is insane. The boys are really on here. Jerry just demolishes the solo peak and the transition into He's Gone is flawless. good lord
