Morning Dew

Alpine Valley Music Theatre
Completely torn to shreds. Brutal jamming, and a massive crescendo.

Top shelf version, one of the best.

Not a note missed, and not a second wasted. A superbly polished Stephen, and i'm surprised it isn't here already. Sick version from a Dope show

Dancin' in the Streets
June 8, 1969
Fillmore West
In Phil's book, he describes that before the show he was given a drink of apple juice that was supposedly spiked with around 100+ milligrams of acid per mouthful. Whole band for that matter was dosed from this apple juice. This version proves that The Grateful Dead were perfectly capable of playing tremendous performances under the influence of mind-altering substances-- but we already knew that didn't we....
He's Gone
March 24, 1973
The Spectrum
A soundscape, almost like a landscape painting, the jams are open and natural. Again, as mentioned, pretty fun outro vocal harmonies. This He's Gone kicks off a pretty huge jam sequence, one of the better Spring 73' shows.
Playin' In The Band
March 24, 1973
The Spectrum
Indeed this is a pleasant trip through a separate dimensional sphere of thought, rolling and blending the band becomes an organic unit. As if a new natural organism of mind-blended musicianship has been spurred out of an empty cosmic space, only to be filled with a visual and expansive improvisational piece. Its as if while listening one is taken on a journey, as if being driven by the music, through a world not so different from our own, but consisting of musical energy and spontaneous mystery.
Here Comes Sunshine
Dec. 19, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall
As good as it gets is right. Weaving back and forth, in and out of each other every single band member seamlessly clicks and rolls this one into a different cosmic space. Perfect way to kick off DP 1, cant fault Dick with this one, perfectly epitomizes the magic of this wonderful band.
They Love Each Other
March 24, 1973
The Spectrum
Damn right! This is so choice. Prime bouncy goodness, 73' is just a goldmine for this song.
