Brown Eyed Women

The Palladium

I had forgotten how much I love this show! From BEW to the end this show provides some exemplary playing. This BEW is butter, clean as a whistle.

Very, very tight version. Weir goes crazy, and screams. Really good rendition, in a hot show.

Capitol Theatre

Garcia gives it his all. Rippin' solos, and clear concise leads. Voice is a little rough, but he manages to hit pretty high levels of insanity.

Althea
Sept. 13, 1991
Madison Square Garden

Worst show of the 91' MSG 9-13 run BY FAR. However, it must be noted that this Althea is indeed incredibly fun, wouldn't label it "best ever" as using that terminology is ludicrous most of the time (I slip into that sometimes, as does everyone). This Althea features some intricate filling by all, which provides a very almost experimental sound. Easily deserves the title of a barnburner and deserves more than two measly votes.
Crazy Fingers

Orpheum Theatre

Unravels with a beautiful array of underlining fills and leads.
Crazy Fingers

Oakland Coliseum

Surreal and polished, one of the best of the year
Bird Song
March 7, 1981
Cole Field House

The best post 73' version i've yet to hear. Trippy, swirling, and soaring jam.
Pretty Peggy O
Sept. 3, 1977
Raceway Park

Beautiful.....this song throughout 77' through 78' is just so good, this Englishtown version could be the best, but I cant call it that, I love too many versions, 4/16 is another favorite.
