Good Lovin'

Capitol Theater

20 min. Pig rap-fest; Heavy and fast barnburner, thunderous drums, and nimble bass

The Other One
Feb. 19, 1971
Capitol Theater

Three from the Vault version; Tumbling, fiery, madness, Garcia lights this one up; The bus stopped by at the Capitol Theater, did you get on?

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 5, 1981
Glens Falls Civic Center

Melodic and creative soloing throughout; the transition (">") is absolutely on fire, musical communication between instruments is on point

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center

Not a spectacular show by any means; This S>F however is very strong, Garcia officially back from the dead

Pretty Peggy O

St. Paul Civic Center Arena

Simply beautiful and clean, elusive and smooth. I could see this as a top 10 version.
Eyes Of The World
May 26, 1973
Kezar Stadium

Quick jazz infused jamming, featuring a beautiful array of mellow but intense spiraling interweaving guitar and bass lines. Vocally this one is superb, and the instrumentals complete this one perfectly, the combination is seriously a strong indication of how clicked in they were during this performance.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Dig this version, and dig this show. So concise, so controlled, so contained, but simultaneously rockin' and fast paced. As per usual with 1978 Garcia has a strong solo and a powerful tone.
Not Fade Away
Oct. 6, 1977
Activity Center. Arizona State U

This one escapes the stratosphere of normal NFA, exploding and crushing rhythm and guitar shredding. Check this one out, takes my vote over Cornell.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
May 19, 1974
Portland Memorial Coliseum

Nice one here, love China>Rider in 74', this version certainly proves impressive from start to end, probably my favorite of the May 74' run. Entire show presents the band in peak form, and this entire May run is on fire, maybe the best of the year.
