St. Louis Arena

Serene and moving. Absolutely love Jerry's solo going into "Broken heart" verse. You can tell Garcia likes playing this song. Nearly every version has very emotionally sung lyrics.
Bertha

St. Louis Arena

Good call, I wholeheartedly agree with your above statement. This whole run is the epitome of consistency, this Bertha is deserving.
Candyman
Nov. 5, 1977
Community War Memorial Auditorium

Defines the essence of what makes this song work. Quiet at times, loud at others, but emotive throughout. The emotion is palpable and coherent. A clear and near perfect rendition.
Dark Star
Oct. 25, 1969
Winterland Arena

This is the pinnacle of 69 DS. Underrated for no clear reason. Should be voted up immediately. Mesmerizing and exploratory, stays focused the whole time. Excellent DS
Black Peter
Sept. 25, 1981
Stabler Arena

This black peter indeed has an excellent outro. Probably deserves more votes. Im going to have give the nod for best of 81' to 12/3/81, however, 81' was prime for Black Peter. This is a good version and is certainly worth checking out.
