Scarlet Begonias
Dec. 6, 1989
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
Intriguing Set 2 opener "Scarlet -> Sugar." Nice MIDI at the end.

This one shines from my favorite Hornsby show.

Ramble On Rose
Dec. 13, 1990

Man was 1990 a good year for this song. Terrific version, great solo, nice ragtime-y work from Bruce. Just exactly perfect.

Listened to this show because it was played the day I was born. A great Hornsby era version.

The Other One
Dec. 30, 1989
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena
This one needs to shoot up the list. The jams on this one kind of remind me of the 7/29/88 "Playing": frighteningly intense, unrelenting, you feel like you might not survive it, it's that heavy. The drummers and Brent are on a warpath here. A 'take no prisoners' version if there ever was one.
Ramble On Rose
Oct. 27, 1990
The Zenith
Excellent version from an excellent show.
Promised Land
Oct. 27, 1990
The Zenith
This one should be leagues higher than it is. This song hit its peak in 1990-91. Phil is a monster and the finale is off the charts.
Eyes Of The World
Sept. 18, 1990
Madison Square Garden
This is an exquisite version. Around 11:40 Jerry fans the absolute fuck out of the peak like I've never heard before on an "Eyes."
Brown Eyed Women
June 17, 1991
Giants Stadium
Best post-Brent version by a huge margin, maybe even best of the 1990-95 era. Killer version, killer show. It's gonna rock on the big screen.
