Bird Song
Sept. 15, 1990
Madison Square Garden
Hornsby's first "Bird Song" as a member is nearly 15 minutes of bliss. Nice harmonies, too.

Jack Straw
June 24, 1995
RFK Stadium
For 1995, surprisingly sharp.

Crazy Fingers
Oct. 17, 1994
Madison Square Garden
The intro is a bit messy (what else is new), but Jerry's swift fills and impassioned vocals are the stars here.

Days Between
June 18, 1994
Autzen Stadium
Haunting like all of them. Jerry's solo starts a bit dull but he hits his stride pretty quickly.

Feel Like A Stranger
Oct. 19, 1994
Madison Square Garden
MSG, Baby! Good start to the last show ever at the venue.

Standing On The Moon
Aug. 21, 1993
Autzen Stadium - University of Oregon
Yea, I still quibble with this being number one. One of the few I truly have a hard time justifying its case for.
He's Gone
Aug. 3, 1982
Starlight Theatre
That little Spanish style lick Jerry plays coming out of "Space" gets me every time. This one of the best versions of all time.
Playin' In The Band
Dec. 30, 1990
Coliseum Arena
This version is sinfully low; brilliant jamming on this one that plays more like a 1972 than a 1990 "Playin'" with Jerry and Phil right up front. Lots of different colors and moods. Bump this one up, Top 10 post-Godcheaux version.
Estimated Prophet
March 16, 1990
Capital Centre
Insane version. The mid-jam goes on and on and Bobby needs an exorcist.
Estimated Prophet
Sept. 22, 1993
Madison Square Garden
This one begs to get up way higher, it's better than MSG 1991 with Branford. They let Murray take near-complete control of the jam and he absolutely burns the Garden to the fucking ground.
