Black Throated Wind
May 29, 1992
Sam Boyd Silver Bowl

Of course brotha! I think my Top 5 for 1992 are 3/20, 12/16, 06/28, 5/29, and 6/25. 5/31 also has the absolutely killer 10 song second set (not counting "Drums / Space!). Check out that three-guitar "Dew"!

The Palace

Very solid version. Maybe the best Bruce version indeed. Jerry sounds especially mournful here.
Jack Straw
Oct. 14, 1994
Madison Square Garden

Last great "Jack Straw." A bit rushed but Jerry gets after it at the end. Lyrically pretty tight as well.

Old Renaissance Faire Grounds

Played well but the song was so underdeveloped. No ending jam. "Jack Straw" seemed to grow exponentially as a song with each passing year well into the 1990s'. Yes, this one has that unique 'psychedelic cowboy' sound but I prefer the more cinematic sounding, urgent rock versions every time.
All Along the Watchtower
May 29, 1992
Sam Boyd Silver Bowl

Probably the most intense sounding "Watchtower" I can think of. I don't know if it's the playing, the way it's mixed etc., but this one really gets to the urgency and sense of impending doom that's the heart of the song.
