The Music Never Stopped
Sept. 21, 1993
Madison Square Garden

Wicked jamming from Jerry.

Truckin'
Sept. 20, 1993
Madison Square Garden

Novelty of being done at MSG aside, this is a great version. Jerry reals get after it in the last minute or so.

Johnny B. Goode
Sept. 20, 1993
Madison Square Garden

Perfect cherry on top of a blistering first set. Vince is on fire.

Greatest Story Ever Told
Sept. 20, 1993
Madison Square Garden

Really happy I get to submit this awesome version. Jerry is brilliant on it, his fills and his solos come right out of 1974.

Touch of Grey
Sept. 20, 1993
Madison Square Garden

Flawless and energetic version. Jerry doesn't a miss a lyric or a change. Perfect start to an epic show.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Oct. 14, 1994
Madison Square Garden

You bet your ass I'm listening to this today. 25 years since this bad boy was unleashed on NYC. It never gets tiresome for me.
New Speedway Boogie
Feb. 19, 1991
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

I compared this to the widely (and rightly) lauded lauded version from the Giant Stadium show in June, and while that version packs a huge whallop, I honestly think this one is better. The sheer energy of it being a bust-out coupled with the timely specter of the Gulf War give it the perfect amount of momentum and intensity.
Morning Dew
July 12, 1987
Giants Stadium

It's well performed, but "Dew" is not 2nd set opener material. It needs to be the climax of a particular suite. It shouldn't have to have anything follow it.
Take A Step Back
July 12, 1987
Giants Stadium

The Healy-fied Take a Step Back is so deliciously funky it actually disappoints me it never became a real song.
The Music Never Stopped
July 10, 1989
Giants Stadium

Hot version, Jerry drives it home at the end.
