Killer version with a great latin jam after the drums, and the reprise goes into dire wolf.

Dark Star
Jan. 2, 1970
Fillmore East (Late Show)

What I love about Dark Star is that, just like life, sometimes it may get into dark places, but light always finds it way back (For me the most moving part of a good Dark Star is the moment that harmony first peeks out from the noise, like the sun breaking through the clouds). It doesn't matter if the clouds are now covering the sky, eventually the sun will come back out brighter than ever.

Dark star into Feelin' Groovy jam into Tighten Up Jam back to Dark Star. As far as I know they did this did (at least) three times: 10/25/69, 2/11/69 and this one definitely is the best of the bunch, also the most underrated.
