Good version in an epic concert. One of the best bits of the first set. Second set is cosmic 73 stuff.

Good version from a very good concert. See if you can borrow this from a friend who has the complete set. The first set is cosmic

To defend my cancerous opinion ... the first third is superb, wondeful guitar work, and got me really excited. The middle third let me down as it was uninspired doodling, almost lift music. But my ridicule was for the last third that contains some of the worst singing the Dead ever did. The TOO that follows is great.

You're having a laugh ! Seriously, this one is awful. It should not be played to people of a sensitive musical disposition .... not unless the water-boarding didn't work.

I downloaded this because the BIODTL is so highly rated, and I didn't yet have this concert. Listened to first set, and Deal stood out as heady. Pretty Peggy-O not bad either

I didn't notice the flub at the beginning (I was driving) but I heard the inventive extra verse. Truth is, if you didn't know you wouldn't notice, so this doesn't count as a flub, IMO. Great version. Worth downloading. NB I downloaded this because of the praise for BIODTL, but it was Deal that struck me in the first set. [Added] Oooops. Heard it on the second listening. I am afraid that precludes this from being a top version ... more the Tarantino version !

The "wisdom of the crowd" is spot on here, IMO. Curtis Hixon, Freedom Hall, and Boston Garden are "the big 3" in my opinion when it comes to WRS. As regards the cut, after listening to the many available versions, I chose the Monte Barry one (which drops in an AUD patch), as best overall for this and the whole concert.
