Me and Bobby McGee
Aug. 6, 1971
Hollywood Palladium

Stunning. Great Pigpen backing vocals ... and considering .... moving stuff. Then he rips into Hard to Handle.
El Paso
Aug. 6, 1971
Hollywood Palladium

Some sources say that the El Paso came from the day before. You can download that one from the archive.
Morning Dew

Strand Lyceum

Best I have heard yet. Totally blows you away, especially if you listen to it in sequence after the preceding TOO coda. I find Barton doesn't have the same emotive strength.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Hello, first post, so sorry if I get any etiquette wrong ... I think this one is better than Veneta, but neither are best as a complete package. This is the best CCS. But IKYR needs stark, bluesy treatment, not funky, jammy, jazzy work. IMO, the Jahrhundret Halle is the best IKYR, far more stark and blues-like, hard, haunting, and minimalist, even though the CCS is poor.
