Samson and Delilah
June 7, 1977
Winterland Arena
This is a cool version in that the segue out of Drums is pretty gradual and smooth, there's an intro jam of sorts here that's unique
He's Gone
June 7, 1977
Winterland Arena
This is a great version but Jerry somehow messes up the "nothing left to do but smile smile smile" line, which is my favorite part of this song.
Candyman
May 28, 1977
Hartford Civic Center
Jerry has some effect on his guitar here that I've not really heard before? Absolutely beautiful, this is such an amazing take on this song. Just exactly perfect
Brokedown Palace
May 11, 1977
St. Paul Civic Center Arena
Really like this one - almost as much as the Winterland one a few weeks later. This one is a little more upbeat. And Jerry wishes the crowd goodbye after!
Pretty Peggy O
May 5, 1977
New Haven Coliseum
Agree with all the others, I've listened to a lot of versions of this song and this one is the best. The reason - that solo in the middle of the song is second-to-none.
