Knickerbocker Arena

Such a nice version, included on Dozin' at the Knick -- this is my "go-to" Masterpiece.

Listen to the Jerry backing vocals at 2:40! Great version.

Not Fade Away

Dick's Picks 27 bonus tracks. Love the drum sound on this release. Pumps up this NFA in the same way that it boosts Samson from Dec. 16. This song was often a throwaway in the 90s but this version is a heater.
Mexicali Blues

Just when I thought I could skip all versions of this song in perpetuity. This is blistering.
Victim Or The Crime

Coliseum Arena

Tough song to love, let's face it, but this one is well-played and leads into an all-time Foolish Heart. Good one-two punch to close a strong first set.
Foolish Heart

OK, wow. This is really something. Strong vocal delivery and amazing solos and jam after the verses. Brings the energy as a legit set closer. Making me rethink my prior 7/18/89 preference!
Looks Like Rain
March 28, 1990
Nassau Coliseum

Definitive latter day version, and should be competing for best ever. The '72 versions are well-played and the Donna harmonies are nice but I prefer this song with a more firey ending and epic Bobby wail at the end. This one is a slow burn stunner and the thunder effects and Bobby-isms at the climax are just what you needed even if you didn't know it. So good.
