The fact that this isn't already on here continues to attest to how underheard these London shows are. Smoldering version.

Love Brent on this. Greasy and grimy.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
April 24, 1978
Horton Field House - Illinois State University

I'm not against Weir's slide work in every case. 9/2/78, for example, is much more tasteful in my opinion. Here it almost drowns out Jerry, who's doing some really nice stuff in the opposite channel. But I dont hate this version outright, it just isn't my favorite. I actually prefer 4/8 in just this month.

Not as fast as other versions, but the jams are solid and the outro portion hits hard.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
Aug. 13, 1975
Great American Music Hall

As clean as a live version of this song can get, and Jerry remembers the words, so that's a plus. Fun to blast this one every so often.
Morning Dew

Agreed that the Dark Star-MLB-Dew sequence here is essential listening.

I generally like this one but Bobby overdoes it on the slide in Fire, to the point where he's competing against Jerry instead of complementing him. High energy for sure, but I appreciate a little more space in Fire.
