Brent's convincing here.

The fact that this isn't already on here continues to attest to how underheard these London shows are. Smoldering version.

Love Brent on this. Greasy and grimy.

The Other One
Oct. 14, 1983
Hartford Civic Center

No doubt this is an integral part of a big-time second set.
Spanish Jam
Oct. 14, 1983
Hartford Civic Center

Kind of in the same family as an Estimated outro, but Jerry's tone is even more beefed up, and the minimal backing on this is even more stark. And then Bobby comes in brilliantly. The full band section is also tense and probing.
Eyes Of The World
Oct. 14, 1983
Hartford Civic Center

I just can't think of a better version from this era. Jerry's not in great shape this evening, but his performance is heroic.
Estimated Prophet

Hartford Civic Center

The outo on this is much more congenial than dark, and it works. And the setup for Eyes is terrific as well.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Oct. 14, 1983
Hartford Civic Center

The final chorus of Fire should give you a clue of how exhausting this one must have been. This to me is a cousin of 11/1/79, where the length combined with the wear and tear create ragged gold.
