Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
Sept. 2, 1983
Boise Pavilion - Boise State University

This Slipknot jam is a MONSTER (go directly to jam). Listen to Phil and Jerry communicate and battle. Results in new heights previously unheard of!

This is THE KILLER BEW! High energy, INSANE Jerry licks in solo, blazes into Jerry screaming "Delilah Jones was the mother of twins!"

How this is not considered the best Loser I'll never know. Absolutely insane Jerry solo ending with an EXPLOSION into "Last fair deal..."

Perfect pace and groove. Super hot ending jam starting by blasting the main lick full band full force. Awesome Jerry licks to complete.

Playin' In The Band
April 24, 1972
Rheinhalle

How is this one so low? I put this as #2 to Veneta. Super intense - Jerry is melting faces with wah wah madness. And if you missed the boat on the Europe individual releases, you can still get the Rhino release called Rockin' the Rhein.
The Eleven
Dec. 31, 1969
???

(Reviewing the Boston Tea Party 12/31/69 Eleven, not the Aox Outtakes) If someone told me this was the definitive Eleven, the best I could say to dispute it would be, "Quite possibly." This has everything anyone could want in an Eleven. Jerry on Fire. Phil getting his opportunity to show his ridiculous Eleven chops. Drumming is spot on. The band comes together on perfect highs. A stand-alone Eleven that truly stands alone.
Here Comes Sunshine

This HCS is ridiculous. You could feel the band deciding to continue pushing on further and further because they knew they were killing it. Insane.
Ramble On Rose

Frost Amphitheatre

I was actually searching archive looking for a nice envelope filter Jerry solo Ramble on Rose. I was about to make the submission to headyversion - it's already here! Not surprising since it's a great Ramble on Rose. I wish he got a few more bars on the solo, but it's excellent. Nice mix in general on this show for all musical components - Jerry, Bob, Phil, and Brent. Check out the Scarlet and Women Smarter for nice interplay.
Truckin'

Killer - yes, but let's be specific. Oh, let's just say, I don't know... how about 6:10 - 8:15. Yeah, if you want to hear 2 min of IN YOUR FACE Jerry, then you're welcome. Overdrive and envelope filter - overflowing overloaded Jerry - GET SOME!
