Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 25, 1977
The Mosque
Sterile. I…don’t understand how this one is so high. Keith owns the Scarlet, but it feels like a practice. Literally. Jerr goes nowhere, not that that’s bad, but he’s just playing around, and Keith goes off a few times, then it’s over. Odd. Unremarkable show in the middle of an epic run.

The classic “now we play for Clive” Jerr + Phil look/laugh. Good stuff.

Secret Keith brilliance + probably the 2nd best version, ever, behind 12/16/78. Yowza.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

Springfield Civic Center
These comments are insane, so let’s bring some fuckin’ reality to this conversation. Geezus. This show is great, but Jerry forces the fuck outta this H>S>F. And. It’s. Not. Good. You’re hearing a band that is trying to figure out what they want do, and this version is bad. A month later in Florida? Yes.
