Surprised it's not here. Epic show, one of the best of the 80s.

The Other One
June 19, 1968
Carousel Ballroom

Scorching and sublime, especially coming out of the 35 minute jam before it. The entire jam, over 45 minutes, is really just full throttle, rip roaring, way out there rock and roll at its best.
Dark Star
June 19, 1968
Carousel Ballroom

This is fantastic and amazing. A great essay/story from Grateful Dead Guide says it might be 2/19/69. The Main Ten surges triumphantly from a jam that has weird hints of a weird Weather Report-ish jam, before heading back into a fiery, gorgeous jam that leads to a scorching hot Other One Jam!! Calling it Dark Star at least gets more to listen, I suppose. But…. There should be some sort of name for what happens here because it is sacred stuff and everyone should hear it!!!
Let Me Sing Your Blues Away
Sept. 8, 1973
Nassau Coliseum

Poor Keith. He sang it 6 times over the next 2 weeks and never sang it again. Ah well. Mighty great show though!!!!! This tumbles into what starts as a bit of a ramshackle China Cat and builds into a truly magnificent Rider, complete with a really groovy Groovy Jam, as it was taking shape in late '73!!!
Truckin'
Sept. 8, 1973
Nassau Coliseum

Groovy and laid back til it hits about the 5 minute mark and then it turns raucous and wild. And yeah, the NFA-GDTRFB is incredible. Underrated show big time! Night before is just as strong, both at Nassau....
He's Gone
Sept. 8, 1973
Nassau Coliseum

Hypnotic is the word. After a raggedy great China-Rider and cool El Paso.
