A Homo erectus-like version but notable for Jerry's solo after the first Rio Grandee chorus.

Awesome early version. Jerry has a great solo at the end.

Jerry impassioned yet subdued singing in that ragged and worn voice is deeply affecting.

Jerry's voice and singing at this time fit this one perfectly.

Better than most and as good as any. Jerry is a veritable confetti-making machine with his young 'Tiger'.

Wow! This thing is definitely waaaaay underrated, neglected, whatever you want to call it, on these pages. Has a unique and cool buildup at the big swell and release portion and the outro jam, dubbed the 'Wood Green Jam' on DP 7 (which might just be the most underrated DP), might just be my personal favorite--it's one of those proto-trance-type jams but with a little bit of an Olde World flavor to it. Wood Green, London, indeed. Oh yeah, and hats off to DP for tracking jam segments.

I'm really looking forward to spending some time with this version and show once I get my paws on this July '78 box. Just out of curiosity, where does this one stand next to the fine version from Dave's 15, Nashville?

Years into the existence of this website and I'm proud to be vote number two on this one.

Good for chasing the beer that chased the Jack Dandy.
