Dark Star

Perhaps its uniqueness prevents it from EPIC status but listen to how obtuse this thing is.

Dark Star
Nov. 26, 1972
San Antonio Civic Auditorium

Something for everyone here: lush aural quiltwork, bass solo, and a 'Feelin' Groovy' segment which is followed by tight abstractions

Both more nuanced and multi-textured than your typical PITB jam. Great stuff!!!

Should of said somewhere that this one has no singing and is just enough of a jam on the main theme that it's called an Other One Jam>Spanish Jam on disc one of DP12. But after listening some more, it seems like it really might be a TOO>Spanish Jam>TOO sandwich. If some great Dark Stars (Miami '74, Dec. '71 Felt Forum, etc.) can go without singing, then so can this TOO. How many TOOs went without singing?
