As Dick himself said of how this China Cat is born, "[it] is worth any effort to hear."

I love what Phil does on this one. This thing is short and sweet.

This concert also has a nice China Cat courtesy of Billy, a Candyman that may have been inspired by some geek throwing marshmallows up on the stage (check the pre-song banter) and a very good PITB that suffers a cut of unknown severity. Oh yeah, Bobby goes nuts on the Casey Jones, too. As always, and as Dick used to to say, 'more listening is necessary'.

I love what Phil does on this China Cat. In the pre-FG segment of the transition there are whispers of 6/16 in Jerry's playing.

Garcia's vocals never sounded more like Tweedy's. The reason this version is ranked so highly is no doubt due to Garcia's nice and long pastoral solo. Excellent stuff from a show that nicely captures the finer points of '78.

The Biogenesis version.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

A really nice Scarlet that has a little twang. The segue into Fire develops slowly but is an enjoyable listen, nevertheless. And yeah, Keith adds nicely to feel of this one.
