I love what Phil does on this one. This thing is short and sweet.

The Other One
Feb. 28, 1973
Salt Palace

I can live with this being the most highly-rated of '73.
The Other One
Nov. 20, 1973
Denver Coliseum

Still too low on the list, though I agree that 2/28 is probably the tops of '73-- a year which, incidentally, doesn't make me immediatelly think of TOO.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

Market Square Arena

'Yes, please!', he said witha lipsa smackin' anda whackin'.
Lazy Lightnin' -> Supplication

Boston Garden

Grendel, I've always thought this one was spectacular and was just thinking of it yesterday and had planned to go dig out my CD copy. This one might just be better than the version featured on 'Go to Nassau' as well as many other '70s versions currently sitting above and suffocating it. Great call! This was also my brother's first Dead show.

I'll just stir the pot a little and say that I prefer the concision and piercing depth of Jerry's second solo on this one to the rangy verbosity of his solo on the 3/20/77 version, though both are sweet.
