Although I respect the versions at Cornell and the sportatorium, I can never get with dews after the break. Two drummers doesn’t really do it for me and the energy isn’t as high. Out of all the beautiful options before the break, this one hits different. The peaks are intense and the valleys just sublime, not a single note is put wrong, and the band clearly puts all of the energy they have left after the amazing dark star into it. One of the top 3 for me, only behind a couple versions from Europe 72.

My favorite 73 show and this dark star will always have a special place in my heart. Dick Latvala said that "things take on new meanings" at this show.
