Another strong version from Brent's last year. Colorful with a swirling energy.

Jack Straw
Nov. 17, 1971
Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

There’s something about the pluck of this early version. Fresh and surprising even if you’ve heard a billion Jack Straws.

The most active, detailed ’72 Jack Straw I can recall.

Eyes Of The World
Oct. 11, 1977
Lloyd Noble Center - University of Oklahoma

Mid-song jamming breaks are unusually long. Lovely and relaxed.
Estimated Prophet
Oct. 11, 1977
Lloyd Noble Center - University of Oklahoma

Just keeps going and going! Jerry tears this one up! Insane, really. And... it's back on Archive as of April 2015. :-)
Big River
Nov. 2, 1977
Field House - Seneca College

Jerry just burns this sucker to the ground. Wowee zowee.
Playin' In The Band
May 26, 1972
Strand Lyceum

Lots more "Main Ten" jamming than most later versions would have. Gives this one a different, more understated feel than some of the pure delirium versions. That may be good or bad depending on your perspective, but this is certainly a great version.
Black Peter
Sept. 21, 1972
The Spectrum

Just incredible. Captures the essence of the song perfectly.
