Deal
Sept. 14, 1974
Olympiahalle

The first several songs of the show are AUD only, but the performances, as in this Deal, are note perfect.

Jack Straw
Sept. 14, 1974
Olympiahalle

As hot as the other blazing Jack Straws from late ’74. Don’t miss out on these wild first set performances.

It Must Have Been The Roses
Sept. 11, 1974
Alexandra Palace

Brimming with confidence, this version has noticeable snap /-

Samson and Delilah
June 21, 1976
Tower Theater

These super fresh June '76 Samsons are delightful. Don't overlook this one.

Brokedown Palace
Oct. 12, 1989
Meadowlands Arena

The old encore favorite is executed with both ease and precision. Clean, bright Brokedown here.

Wharf Rat
May 21, 1974
Edmundson Pavilion

Now, I like the 46-minute Playin’ (not everyone does, as you will see if you read the comments), but even I’m inclined to say that Eyes > Wharf Rat is the apex of the show and one of the greatest moments of the month. It doesn’t get sweeter — more passionately and resourcefully realized — than this.
Wharf Rat
Oct. 14, 1977
Hofheinz Pavilion

I can’t even believe this thing.
Friend of the Devil
Sept. 18, 1983
Nevada County Fairgrounds

A lot of very generous playing in the first few songs of this show — just a bounty of notes, all of them well chosen. Again, I’ll say: The Andrew F source sounds fantastic.
When I Paint My Masterpiece
July 10, 1990
Carter-Finley Stadium

Substantially energized by the storm and/or Bruce’s presence. Slathered in IT. Among the very best.
The Wheel
Sept. 13, 1983
Manor Downs

The two previous commenters say there’s no outro jam … I say otherwise. It’s short but beautiful, moving out of C to flit between E dorian (Other One mode) and A mixolydian (Dark Star mode).
