Deal
Sept. 14, 1974
Olympiahalle

The first several songs of the show are AUD only, but the performances, as in this Deal, are note perfect.

Jack Straw
Sept. 14, 1974
Olympiahalle

As hot as the other blazing Jack Straws from late ’74. Don’t miss out on these wild first set performances.

It Must Have Been The Roses

Alexandra Palace

Brimming with confidence, this version has noticeable snap /-

Samson and Delilah

These super fresh June '76 Samsons are delightful. Don't overlook this one.

Meadowlands Arena

The old encore favorite is executed with both ease and precision. Clean, bright Brokedown here.

Touch of Grey
Sept. 15, 1990
Madison Square Garden

I’m surprised not to find this one higher. It’s not flawless — Garcia fumbles a lyric — but it’s performed like they mean it. Certainly worthy of your attention, along with the rest of Bruce’s first show as a band member.

Jan. 15, 1979
Springfield Civic Center

“Unique” is right! Think of The Wheel crossed with Ollin Arageed crossed with the intro to Run Like an Antelope. This deserves more votes.
Crazy Fingers
Feb. 19, 1991
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

Very substantial jam on the end of this one. Do not overlook it.
Crazy Fingers
Aug. 4, 1989
Cal Expo

Echo-enhanced (Jerry) and wah-saturated (Bobby) guitar, brilliant keyboard arpeggios and runs tinged with sparkling MIDI effects. I'm blown away by the tone color alone. The performance is also very good.
Feel Like A Stranger
Nov. 10, 1985
Meadowlands Arena

As in most of this set, the playing is really hot and really fast. It’s not really a set for subtle communication and expressiveness, but it’s a great one for sweaty, slightly uncoordinated energy. I enjoyed it.
