Jerry slays this laid-back (yet still kickin') version. Sweet stuff here, into a strong Big River.

Just a blistering drum beat to propel this one! Good stuff!

Are there better versions out there? Undoubtedly! But this is still worthy of an entry. Some nice, tinkling piano.

The 'problem' with this band is that when they really just obliterate faces, it makes the times where they simply 'melt' faces seem somehow underwhelming, or, maybe, just whelming. Take this Scarlet > Fire. As has been pointed out, there have been more epic versions, and some even within the same month. But those OVER-THE-TOP insanely awesome versions shouldn't take anything away from this really pretty stellar one. It's a great 'problem' to have, but it does sometimes leave some of us (I'm looking squarely at myself in the mirror here) a bit jaded, feeling like it it's only 150%, that's not good enough, when there's 300% available - and that's a shame, because so much OTHER music can barely top out at about 47%.

I was surprised to see so many comments in here of the "not for me/not my style" vein. To each their own, of course, and I'm not going to besmirch you for not liking this one - I'll be the first to admit that SOOO much of what I like is not to the taste of others! I'm just sorry you're not digging this one, because - to me - it's quite exquisite!

Beautiful, beautiful version, after a sensational Weather Report Suite. All the feels, as the kids say.

Both sentimentally sweet and scorchingly intense! And such a nice segue into Stella Blue!

Great show opener ... "bubbling groove machine" is about as perfect a wording as any!
