Me and My Uncle

Jerry slays this laid-back (yet still kickin') version. Sweet stuff here, into a strong Big River.

Just a blistering drum beat to propel this one! Good stuff!

Are there better versions out there? Undoubtedly! But this is still worthy of an entry. Some nice, tinkling piano.

It Must Have Been The Roses

Red Rocks Amphitheater

Love this song, but this version sounds like it's sung by Kermit the Frog.
The Other One
Dec. 14, 1971
Hill Auditorium

I get what @hvd is saying about Keith stealing the light a bit from Jerry, but @kipmat, I think you nail it - this is a band absolutely TUNED IN to one another and giving each other just what they need to be able to split the universe wide open - y'know, just the usual night at a GD show! This particular night they just execute a PERFECTLY, hauntingly beautiful version throughout. Goddam, THIS is why, 50+ years later, this music resonates and makes me glad to be alive so that I could experience it (long after the initial excursion).

Absolutely mellifluous! I swear I heard some of the Sesame Street theme early in the China Cat.
Sugaree

Hartford Civic Center

Goodness... I've listened to A LOT of Sugarees, and I'm hard-pressed to find one I like more than this. This Sugaree is truly among the sweetest!
