Opens the first electric set from the last (and best) show from the 8 night run at NYC's Radio City Music Hall. Its nomination is long overdue!

This should be on the map. Follow it to find the treasure!

Me and My Uncle
June 8, 1974
Coliseum Stadium

Alert! This one not a throw-away. The best one of '74, no foolin'. Played with a perfect balance of gusto, gumption & grit.

Promised Land
March 16, 1973
Nassau Coliseum

A charged version that starts off a triple-thread run for this massive second set.

This deserves to be on the map!

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Aug. 14, 1971
Berkeley Community Theater

I have a couple dozen career spanning GDTRFB's in my collection. Need I add another? Well, after hearing this version, the answer is a resounding yes! Seriously, as the above commenter stated, the last two and a half minutes are 'sublime'.
Casey Jones
March 21, 1970
Capitol Theater

This is the most tight and rockin' version these ears have heard. Just listen to the crowd! The boys play it with gusto and purpose, before it later became something of a toss-off tune.
Morning Dew
June 10, 1973
RFK Stadium

1973 is year chock-full of epic dews, and this one is no exception. That said, this one doesn't even make my top three for the year - there's just too much stiff competition during this period. I agree with the above commenter that Phil & Bobby really shine on this one. I highly recommend snatching up the just released boxset of this full show. A great pressing indeed!
He Was A Friend of Mine
March 21, 1970
Capitol Theater

A warm and emotive reading of this rarely played tune. Jerry's voice sounds sweet and vulnerable, and his solo is sweeping and delicate. If this show were available in a crispy sbd, I suspect it would be more lauded. But the aud recording is stellar, and it channels the vibe of this night perfectly.
Black Peter

Family Dog at the Great Highway

As sweet and sorrowful as they come.
