Sandwiched between a dreamy Dark Star. Not the definitive version perhaps, but it belongs in the discussion.

Can believe this one isn't already here! A beautiful version from one of the top five shows ever played.

Near flawless version from a near flawless tour. The whole band is locked in on the home stretch here, and keith is hammerin' away on those ivories..

Tight, inspired, rockin'. Best of the Euro '72 run. Give it some love, folks!

One knows from Jerry's opening vocals "cost a lot to win" sung with extra twang, that it's gonna be rockin' with that good county, funky vibe.

Deserves a close listen.

Yup, if one could only have one version of this epic tune, this would have to be it. The guitar tone of Jerry on this night is simply hypnotic. This entire evening in upstate NY stands in the top five greatest shows of all time. Period.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

Cleaner than June 9 perhaps, but not as clean as 8/13/75! I think this one gets a lot of attention because of the hype the "holy trilogy" gets--5/7,5/8,5/9. Stellar shows they are, but this version of H->S->F is overrated. There are vocal flubs a plenty in Help, Slipknot is not near as tight or piercing as 8/13/75, and the Franklin's is a bit lackluster compared to the aforementioned versions to say the least. I encourage people to actually really listen to these versions back to back and reconsider. That said, this version is still worth having, it just ain't top dog, folks.

A cleaner, tighter, "studio quality" version does not exist. Although it has the spot-on studio quality to it, it's still live, jammed out, & inspired by the best live band the world has ever seen, and will never see again. Those who claim 6/9/77 have not heard heard it back to back with this version. No comparison, folks!

My go-to version, but 9/24/87 is a must hear as well.
