Mind Left Body Jam

Sandwiched between a dreamy Dark Star. Not the definitive version perhaps, but it belongs in the discussion.

Can believe this one isn't already here! A beautiful version from one of the top five shows ever played.

Near flawless version from a near flawless tour. The whole band is locked in on the home stretch here, and keith is hammerin' away on those ivories..

Beat it on Down The Line

Olympia Theater

Tight, inspired, rockin'. Best of the Euro '72 run. Give it some love, folks!

One knows from Jerry's opening vocals "cost a lot to win" sung with extra twang, that it's gonna be rockin' with that good county, funky vibe.

Eyes Of The World
Oct. 17, 1978
Winterland Arena

Goes the distance. Allow me to recommend the Dave Usborne Matrix.
Eyes Of The World
April 12, 1978
Cameron Indoor Stadium

Another great version, criminally overlooked. I enjoy the footage snips of this show, particularly the U.S. Blues for the Jerry "Pete Townshend" windmills. But this Eyes should be higher on the list for sure. So should the version from 10/17/78, but it's not even nominated yet! Guess I'll have to remedy that...

Indeed, 'grendel'. Glad to see another head acknowledge the May '77 = April '78 comparison. Those two months alone offer up a whole plethora of splendid music, no doubt!
Greatest Story Ever Told
June 8, 1974
Coliseum Stadium

Oh yeah, the best one from '74, and the last great one before the hiatus. There were some great ones in later years, but I think the one this night was the swan song.
Me and My Uncle

Coliseum Stadium

Love how Bobby delivers this one with a sense of urgency.
